The theme of my blog is “realize your dreams.” I hope that does not imply that when a specific aspiration is fulfilled that the quest ends, and now we can stop and stay there. I believe the journey toward our life transformation will always lead us to new places, if we allow ourselves to keep open to the possibilities that are before us.
I recently discovered the blog Aging Abundantly, written by Dorothy Sander. I love her message, and the way she expresses it. I was especially moved by yesterday’s entry: What Do You Long For? Read it and take it to heart, as I did.
I just returned here from visiting the post that you recommended and I agree it is such a wonderful message.
I think the key to an ongoing quest is ‘Realize Your Dreams’ rather than ‘Realize Your Dream’.
I firmly believe that even if I lived to be 102, the measure of what I want to learn would still outweigh what I had learned. I think you are right, “the journey toward our life transformation will always lead us to new places” …. there is never is a final destination. And should we believe that we have arrived there, then we have stopped truly living.
It’s wonderful to meet you and I look forward to reading more!
I loved reading your blog and look forward to returning to it. Thanks for commenting! I am happy to meet you too!
Today..i was having one of those sick to my stomach worrying feeling about my future and what i want to be and just all those questions that circle around my head. Basically an inevitable endless thought and feeling of being rushed. I’m glad to have come across your blog, it honestly made me remember why i do what i do. So thank you 🙂 and have yourself a nice day!
Hi Joanne, Thanks for reading and commenting on my blog. The future isn’t always just a straight path to a destination (well maybe for some people but not me!) and lifetime learning can take you in many directions. Sometimes what you want to be one day turns into something else later, and that’s okay. Listening to your inner guide and intuitiuon will help you figure out where you want to be now. Best wishes on your journey!
